About the event
How are the movements in a tai chi form applied when connected with a partner? We are going to study how to operate with changing hands, arms position and moving legs in sticking method - sensing hands. From there, we will learn easy to follow step by step applications of each of the movements in 5 Section Solo Bare Hand Form, like Part the Wild Horse Mane, White Crane, Brush Knee, etc. There are many different applications in each movement.
On this weekend we will learn a few applications on each. The movements in the 5 section form are the most popular and you can find them in many of the tai chi short forms. Therefore, it is not at all necessary to know the form. It will give you an insight of what the movements mean while you practice your solo forms, as well as open your horizon in applications if you do partner work. It is a great opportunity to prepare for a more classical tai chi training or if you just want to enhance your current practice.
